We have experienced artifacts as well in 1600x1200 (rendering this resolution
useless), despite supposedly being supported by A[23]p-models using the DVI

I have been through a painful process with IBM support on this issue, finally
giving up on pairing my new 20" flat panel (with a native resolution of
1600x1200) with my A31p. Analog connection is also useless at this
resolution. Strangely some (not all) T30s work flawlessly in 1600x1200 using
the DVI connector and the same port replicator. Sigh. Lets hope IBM have
sorted out these issues on the new T40 series.
