I had the same problem. Had a version that had been previously upgraded and
the new upgrade hosed the player. Fix was to uninstall, install the base
version off the original CD that came with the player, and then install the
new upgrade. (In other words, upgrading an upgraded version broke it.)

Hello all,

After upgrade of Mediamatics DVD player to latest release I am not able
to
play DVD's any more.
When I start program I can see Mediamatics button on toolbar (windows
XP)
for few seconds and that it disappears.
I even tried to change region code, screen resolution but result is
always
the same.
Old player was working fine.
