[Thinkpad] Mardi DVD to go in A20P

Hi All, 
Ive had good results with the Margi DVD to go both in p2 400 and the p3
500 390x thinkpads.
However in my latest T/P the A20p, Ive not been able to get the T/P to
recognise the pcmcia card in the zoomed video bottom port. Ive tried
both sets of drivers  in 2 identical A20p's  with identical win 98 se
loaded,and it wont work in either.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Yes Software decoding works fine BUT I do want to try hardware decoding
if possible.
