[Thinkpad] multimedia-device and external DVD on TP 770

Hello,

I have a Freecom-PCMCIA-Card-Traveller II with a Toshiba 1002 Combo-
Drive built in. I hoped the multimedia-device on my TP770 would decode 
the DVD but the movie doesn't play smooth and the Mediamatics doesn't 
seem to use the decoder card.
The drive doesn't seem to allow the DMA-mode, just PIO.
