Greetings:

FWIW: I have two thinkpads: a 390X and a T20. I have 'experimented' with
non IBM memory with the following results:

PC 133 will not work in my 390X (Symptom: No Boot). This same memory will
work fine in a PII-366 Compaq Armada 7400, i.e. some older machines have
more flexibility. As to the IBM memory in my T20, it lists the following
characteristics:

PC100 SYNCH

If you are pursuing retail options, I have purchased a 256MB centon
(www.centon.com) memory from circuit city which works fine ($75.00). It
states on the packing that it is PC 133 memory but will work in older PC 100
systems (Model: MSGB63S-68T3) . Other 'usuable' types:

Kingston:

ValueRam : KGW377/128 i.e. GateWay memory

My current memory configurations: Both machines are 384 MB (i.e. 1X 256MB 1X
128MB)
