Some crude, subjective figures (dragging and dropping file with an eye
on the Date/Time Control Panel applet) from transferring a 677MB disk
image:
Epox 8RDA+ (2GHz Athlon XP 2400+):
USB 2.0: 63s average
Firewire: 35s average
USB 1.x: gave up, but WinXP estimated 12minutes (via hub built in to
Iiyama monitor).
IBM ThinkPad A30 (1GHz PIIIm):
IBM Cardbus Firewire adapter: 70s average
